Since 2022, Uber has been using AI algorithms to take a bigger and bigger piece of the fare for each ride. As inflation drives up prices and life becomes less affordable, Uber’s pay structure makes it increasingly difficult for drivers to get by. We are investigating whether Uber is using AI to reduce the amount paid to drivers in ways that violate California law.
Why it matters to you.
If you use the Uber driver app to provide rides to passengers in California, you may have been negatively impacted by Uber’s AI algorithms and may be entitled to monetary compensation. Further, by participating in a lawsuit we may file against Uber, you may be able to use your voice to win better future pay for yourself and other drivers. The lawsuit would be an opportunity to stand up to AI-driven pricing models that unfairly enrich large corporations at the expense of everyone else. Please note that we cannot guarantee the ultimate outcome or results of the lawsuit.
Who qualifies?
- You are willing to participate in a lawsuit seeking compensation and fairer pay for yourself and other drivers harmed by Uber’s AI algorithms; and
- You first started driving passengers for Uber on or after . In other words, to be eligible to participate in this lawsuit, you need to be a new Uber driver, and we need to speak with you within 30 days after you first signed up to drive passengers with Uber.
- Note: If you previously drove for Uber more than 30 days ago and stopped, but recently started driving again, you are not eligible to participate in this lawsuit.
